The Quebec Thriller Arsenault & Son performed well at the box office for its first weekend in theaters, rising to 4th place among the most popular films of the weekend.< /p>

Released last Friday, director Rafaël Ouellet's new feature (Camion) raked in $115,787 during its first three days of release. This is the second best start for a Quebec film in 2022, after –Norbourg, which raised $168,927 during its first weekend in theaters at the end of April.&nbsp ;

Hollywood in the lead

For a second week in a row, they are the dinosaurs of the Hollywood film Jurassic World – Domination which took the number one spot at the Quebec box office, with receipts of $786,023. The 6th part of the popular saga has already totaled $2.6 million in theaters across the province.

Top Gun: Maverick follows in second place with a harvest of $744,416 (for a cumulative amount of $6.1M since its release last month). The animated film Lightyear completes the podium with receipts of $511,551.
