From October 1st

“As of October 1, 2024, following a technical update of telephone standards, when the operators of the gendarmerie, police, firefighters and emergency medical services operation centers need to contact you, their numbers will be identified on your phone as 0800 112 112”, explains the Gard gendarmerie on its Facebook account.

Also, “This is not a malicious or commercial call but one from an emergency service”. It is therefore strongly recommended to save it on your phone so that you know that you can pick up without fear if you receive this call.
