The Hérault Health Insurance and its partners organize, throughout the department, prevention days dedicated to women's health and the screening of the main female cancers (breast, cervix). , and colon).

L’Assurance Maladie de l’Hérault and its partners organize, throughout the department, prevention days dedicated to women's health and the screening of the main female cancers: breast, cervix, and colon.

These days are open to all women eligible for organized screenings. Participation is free and without prior registration.

It is an important opportunity to raise awareness among women about their health and well-being, also allowing a moment of sharing, exchange and conviviality.

Partners will be present to encourage regular screenings, help overcome fears and become an actress of your health.

Organized screenings

Screening for uterine cancer is recommended every 3 years for women aged 25 to 30, after 2 tests carried out one year apart and with normal results , then every 5 years, between ages 30 and 65.

Organized breast cancer screening allows women in the 50-74 age group to benefit from an examination every 2 years.

Organized colon cancer screening is possible from age 50 to age 74.

On site, beneficiaries will be able to obtain personalized follow-up, take a smear, a mammogram, and obtain the colorectal cancer screening kit. It will also be possible to make an appointment for mammograms and smears.

The dates to remember are: 

– Monday April 11, 2024 at Lapeyronie University Hospital in Montpellier;
– Monday April 25, 2024 at the Millénaire clinic in Montpellier;
– Friday April 29, 2024 in Castries and Friday May 24, 2024 in La Grand- Motte, with the presence of the Mammobile.
