2024 taxes: you are waiting for a transfer from the DGFiP ? The payment dates have fallen

The General Directorate of Public Finances (DGFiP) has reimbursed 10 to 15 million households in the middle of summer since the withholding tax came into force.

At the end of your income tax return on the impots.gouv.fr website, the tax authorities have displayed on your page "the amount that will be reimbursed" or "the amount remaining to be paid".

If the Directorate General of Public Finances (DGFiP) has announced to you a "amount that will be reimbursed", you are probably wondering when the nice surprise will arrive on your account.

The dates have finally fallen. It will be either for Wednesday July 24, 2024, or for Wednesday July 31, as the DGFiP announced to MoneyVox on Monday June 17, 2024.

What wording ?

Approximately 10 to 15 million French households will receive a reimbursement this year from the General Directorate of Public Finances in the middle of summer. Transfers always take place in two installments, MoneyVox points out, for reasons of flow management on the tax side.

As every year, this transfer should bear the wording "REMB INCOME TAX" on your bank statement and will come from "DGFIP FINANCES PUBLIQUES".

Transfer or check letter

Those who have not communicated their RIB to the tax authorities will receive a check letter. They will be sent from July 24, 2024 and until the end of August, specifies the General Directorate of Public Finances to MoneyVox. The last check delivery to La Poste is August 23.

If, on the contrary, you have a "amount remaining to pay", don't panic, it's not for now. Direct debit is scheduled for September 26, 2024.
