24-year-old woman raped in a car: suspect arrested by the BAC following the intervention of a witness to the scene

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in Aix-en-Provence, a man who had witnessed a disturbing scene followed a vehicle, allowing a suspect to be arrested.  

On Tuesday, October 8, a 24-year-old woman was raped in a car after her alleged attacker forced her into his vehicle, reports La Provence. The man was arrested some time later by the Aix-en-Provence anti-crime squad (BAC), thanks to the intervention of a citizen.

Intervention of a witness

A witness to the scene, he realized the constraint that was being exerted on the young woman at the moment when she entered the suspect's vehicle. He then decided to follow the car, while calling the police to warn them of the events in progress.

A complaint was filed

His information allowed an unmarked BAC vehicle to find the car where the young woman was. She filed a complaint at the police station against the man who attacked her. The latter was brought before the Aix-en-Provence public prosecutor's office the following day, Wednesday, October 9.
