A supervisory position at the Jardin du Luxembourg

The Senate recently relayed a call for applications on its website for full-time employment as a supervisor at the Jardin du Luxembourg, in the 6th arrondissement of the capital. The position is scheduled to take up from July 1. 

When it comes to salary, the offer promises remuneration of 3,000 euros net monthly, including allowances. This is more than the average within the state civil service, which stands at 2,639 euros net per month in full-time equivalent in 2020, highlights Le Figaro

To apply, no need to provide proof of diplomas. However, you must demonstrate one of the following conditions: at least three years of active military service, active service as a firefighter or professional practice in surveillance, security or rescue functions to people.

Applications open until January 26

According to the ad, recruiters are looking for someone responsive, available, with a sense of service but also of ;discernment" and "self-control". The employee must also be able to demonstrate authority and report to management. . Finally, he must be able to adapt to varied situations and interlocutors and appreciate contact with the public and teamwork. ;quot;.

Among the missions entrusted to him, the future supervisor will have to help walkers in the Luxembourg Gardens, ensure the conservation of this area and enforce the regulations. Dressed in a uniform, he will be authorized to draw up reports in the event of an offense and must transmit them to the competent judicial police officer. 

Please note that the position requires a certain flexibility: "The working hours of the Garden supervisors depend on the opening and closing times of the Garden , which vary according to the seasons,” specifies the explanatory brochure. As a reminder, the Garden is open to the public during the day and every day of the year, including Sundays and public holidays.

If you are interested, you have until January 26, 2024 to apply and provide the necessary documents. The eligibility tests will first take place on February 29, then during the week of April 15 to 22.
