The next edition of the Templiers, scheduled for October 17 to 20, will welcome socio-educational structures from southern Aveyron under the aegis of the Templiers Social Club. And the training has already started.
"We are here to have a good time above all", says Kévin Bertrand, co-president of the Templars festival. This Tuesday evening, at the Maladrerie, there were around forty people from socio-educational structures in southern Aveyron to take part in training that was intense to say the least, and with kindness!
And for good reason, that they come from the Cada (Reception Center for asylum seekers) of Saint-Affrique, Myriade, Charmettes or even the Social Centers of the Causses, this first meeting Your objective was to lay the foundations of a sports program. Its purpose ? To participate in a walking race, particularly during the future edition of the Templars. And this, under the aegis of the Templiers Social Club.

Inspired by New York Road Runners
S’part of the same dynamic as New York Road Runners, "monument of running in the United States which promotes the practice of this discipline& ;quot;, the Templars Social Club aims to encourage "social diversity in the world of running, mainly practiced by of CSP +", explains the co-president.
In this sense, Kévin Bertrand said it again this Tuesday evening to the athletes: "We want to give you access to the Templars and help you preparing for the race". But without any pressure. "We are in Millau, not in Central Park. The objective remains the same but on our scale . And above all, wheren will not force anyone to participate in a festival race."
For the 30th anniversary of the Templars the club was born "with in particular the establishment of a program with several objectives : discover healthy sport, set a final goal such as participating in the Belle de Millau and connect to a community, indicates the organization on its Facebook page. "Sport is above all about sharing. We meet people and create connections, and that’s what we’re doing this evening", the co-president insisted to the future trail runners.< /p>
Two coaches to achieve your goals
The bet is on. And to best support the participants, the organization of the festival did not go by half measures with a series of ten to twelve training sessions. For the first meeting, the members of each structure were able to meet before the next ones grouped them by establishment.
Supervised by two Solution Sport teachers specializing in adapted physical activities (APA), Fanny Cottier and Noémie Sollier, the sessions will allow each beneficiary to consider taking up the challenge. "We trust them completely, in addition to being authorized by Maison Sport Santé, Noémie and Fanny have hyperhuman approaches", argues the organization of the festival. A first kind contact which allowed the whole group to follow the two women with ease.

"Our credo is physical activity adapted to all and social diversity, insisted Fanny Cottier before starting the session. The Templars don't just give you bibs. They also offer you a complete preparation." Indeed, the festival offers each participant the bib for a race and physical preparation. As a bonus (and not the least) "a pack will be given to each participant", specifies Kévin Bertrand. Enough to motivate the troops.
