In Chernobyl took place large-scale cultural project of the singer and Ambassador of Renewable energy in the world – Ruslana. Art-performance “Chornobyl RE:start” on the anniversary of the largest man-made disaster in the world – the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which forced the world to learn this tragic lesson and gave a powerful impetus to the development of clean energy in the world.

“Chornobyl RE:start” is an artistic look at a tragic Chapter in not only our country but all over the world, memory, and awareness of the consequences of which should be a motivation for the development of renewable energy. Ruslan laid flowers at the memorial “the Wormwood Star” in gratitude to the liquidators of the accident. Except for Ruslana in action “Chornobyl RE:start” was attended by leading Ukrainian experts in the sphere of clean energy.

Spectators and guests of the art performance gathered in the square near the “Trumpeting angel” is a symbolic monument, which means two opposite in nature of things, hope for the best and punishment for sin. The participants honored the memory of liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster with a minute of silence. Art-performance “Chornobyl RE:start” began on the walk of abandoned villages on both sides of which are mounted plates 162 of the names of the evacuated settlements – villages that have become “ghosts”.

Ruslana appeared dressed in a gold cloak that is so symbolic resembled the sunlight and wind, which are modern and clean energy. The singer headed to the sundial. Far from Trumpeting angel around hours of sunshine, lined with candles, going to “shadow” those whose lives have taken a terrible Chernobyl disaster.

In the “heart of performance” was the unique voice of Ruslana. Approaching each person in the circle, like Ruslan has experienced his story. And the shadow after touching the singer gradually began to disappear, as if dissolved in the twilight of life. In their place came the “bright” people who represent the new generation that has taken the mistakes of their ancestors and learn the lesson, move on already to a new energy – clean and bright.

“Standing here now, I realize that 33 years ago, on 26 April 1986, there was a terrible energy and environmental disaster. All know what cost us this energy. We paid for it the price that simply cannot fail to make findings. We know that the world must transition to clean energy that people want to live in a completely different future. Everyone wants to be clean, to live on a clean planet, to give a clean future for their children. This action is a peculiar call and support those world-movements that are actively distributing clean energy among the people. And this is only the beginning!” – said Ruslana from the stage.

It is symbolic that just after the art of performance and communication with journalists directly from Chernobyl Ruslana conducted an online broadcast from one of the leaders of the movement Fridays for Future – James Meyer (James Leon Meyer) is a movement that has United young people around the world in the fight against environmental risks, which lead to climate change.

Recall, April 26, the first person in the country remembered the tragedy at Chernobyl.
