35-year-old football player dies struck by lightning during match

In Indonesia, during a friendly match between 2 FLO FC Badung and FBI Subang, an amateur footballer was struck by lightning. A shocking video shared on social media recorded the exact moment the victim, Septain Raharja, collapsed on the pitch at Siliwangi Stadium. One of his teammates was also knocked to the ground due to the ;rsquo;impact.

The other players on the pitch, also surprised by the impact, quickly rushed towards the player to help him. The match was logically stopped. The local media PRFM News also reports that the player's jersey was torn due to lightning.

Died in hospital

According to local media, the 35-year-old was still breathing after being hit. He was rushed to the nearest hospital, but died from his burns. Several Indonesian teams observed a minute of silence in memory of the 35-year-old.
