Internationally renowned filmmakers Milan Bihmann and Muammer Yilmaz offer, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Great Explorers, their documentary “Dreams of Africa”.
< p>The two men traveled a total distance of more than 8,000 kilometers, crossing the borders of seven countries to carry out 18 important projects for people they met on their way.
“In Zimbabwe, they changed the roof of the house of the one that hosted them. In Kenya, they rebuilt Mister John's bookstore, which had gone up in smoke. In South Africa, they planted trees in a school. In Ethiopia, they even clowned around in a children's hospital!” it was specified, among all the projects put forward.
“Dreams of Africa” is screened on October 19 and 20 at the Marcellin-Champagnat Theater in Laval, on October 23 at the Auditorium of the Collège d'Ahuntsic as well as on October 27 at Salle Désilet in the Rivière-des-Prairies district.
