Un Iliouchine Il-76 s’est écrasé ce mardi 12 mars 2024 peu après son décollage de l’aéroport d’Ivanovo, après qu’un de ses moteurs s’est enflammé. 

A Russian military transport plane carrying 15 people crashed this Tuesday March 12, 2024 due to a "fire" one of its engines in the Ivanovo region, northeast of Moscow, said the Russian Defense Ministry cited by Le Parisien, without specifying whether there were any survivors.

Eight crew members and seven passengers

Indeed, at the beginning of the afternoon, "an Il-76 military transport plane crashed in the region from Ivanovo as it took off" with "eight crew members and seven passengers& quot;, the ministry said.

Videos posted on Russian social networks show a plane with one of its engines on fire, heading towards the ground. A black cloud of smoke then rises into the sky while a helicopter draws circles around it.
