The announcement of the death of the emblematic judge Renaud Van Ruymbeke sparked reactions on the national level and in Nîmes magistrates and lawyers only yesterday underlined the qualities of the magistrate specialized in the fight against corruption and dirty money circuits. Renaud Van Ruymbeke visited the Nîmes high court in 2009 for the inauguration of the judicial film festival. This festival aimed to bring litigants closer to the judicial institution. Robert Gelli, the former public prosecutor and Michel Belin, the former vice public prosecutor and the Nîmes bar had contributed to bringing about this festival and making it last for several years.
