“The first Arab I meet on the road, I hit him with my helmet.” On Instagram, the French XV full-back posted a video that is making the rounds on social media, in the midst of a turbulent political context.

This video was put in “story” on Instagram, apparently by accident. It was removed. It was the deputy of France Insoumise, Sébastien Delogu, who re-published the images on X. “The rugby player's comments are scandalous and must be very severely punished”, wrote the politician.”The web has been in turmoil ever since.

The Rugby Club Toulonnais communicated in the evening:”“Following the video published on social networks involving Melvyn Jaminet, the RCT condemns the remarks made and dissociates itself from them. An internal investigation has been opened and the club will communicate more widely at the end of it."
