Jégou-Auradou assault: “lesions compatible” with the story of the alleged victim of sexual assault according to the prosecutor

Oscar Jegou et Hugo Auradou sont accusés d'agression sexuelle.

The public prosecutor in charge of the complaint for sexual assault against two players of the French rugby team indicated on Tuesday July 9 that there were "convincing elements" and "compatible lesions" with the story of the alleged victim.

"The lesions are compatible with the victim's account, but not necessarily exclusively the result of a sexual assault", declared Daniela Chaler on radio LV10 in Mendoza (central-west), the province where the acts were allegedly committed and where Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou, arrested Monday by the police in Buenos Aires, will be transferred.

"The deposition is quite long, complete, detailed and corresponds, for the moment, to the medico-legal conclusions", added the magistrate who requested the placement in pre-trial detention of the two players.

The two players in custody

The second line of Pau Hugo Auradou, 20 years old, and the third line of La Rochelle Oscar Jegou, 21 years old, are in police custody in the Argentine capital, a police source confirmed to the&# 39;AFP. They could be transferred Wednesday evening or Thursday morning to Mendoza, 1,100 km west of Buenos Aires for possible indictment.

"They must be accompanied by a translator, these two young people do not speak Spanish. We must therefore ensure that they understand the reason for their detention and their transfer to the province of Mendoza", also indicated the Attorney General.

According to the local press, the alleged attack on a young woman took place in the hours following the match against the Argentine selection, during the night from Saturday to Sunday, at the Diplomatic Hotel in Mendoza, where players and staff were staying. According to the spokesperson for the Mendoza public prosecutor's office, Martin Ahumada, the two players could face up to 20 years in prison.
