Product recall: fire risk for these universal phone chargers sold by Ikea stores

Universal phone chargers sold by the famous Swedish furniture brand Ikea have been recalled throughout France since Wednesday July 17, 2024.

The government site Rappel Conso warns of the risks of these universal phone chargers.

Sold throughout France

The products affected by this recall are the VARMFRONT universal mobile chargers (10400 mAh and 5200 mAh) sold by Ikea stores. They have been marketed since July 1, 2023 throughout France.

Some of these electrical devices present a fire risk.

The recalled lots bear the following numbers: 2313, 2316, 2318, 2319 with item code number 10555645. There are also lots  2318, 2319, 2322 corresponding to item code  70555647.

Don’t use it anymore

The manufacturing date, corresponding to the batch number, is indicated on the back of the charger, indicates the Conso Rappel website.

If you have purchased one of these chargers, do not use it anymore and return it to the point of sale for an exchange or refund . You can also contact consumer service at  0800603606.
