The RN opposition of Pont-Saint-Esprit calls on “all elected officials to respect the democratic spirit”

While a lively exchange between the mayor and the RN opposition took place during the municipal council of installation of Valère Segal, and the latter provided an update (read here) on the projects of his team while evoking the opposition without naming it, Emmanuel Le Pargneux, leader of Renouveau Spiripontain (RN), reacts. He denounces "the assumed anti-democratic wishes of Valère Segal, who wants to govern Pont-Saint-Esprit by cutting off the microphone of his opponents". And the municipal councilor affirmed : "We are a constructive opposition, and we have neither political nor personal inclinations. We call on all elected officials to show total respect for the democratic spirit […]. First by listening to what elected officials have to say in council and by working with them within municipal commissions. Then by including elected representatives of the opposition in assemblies or municipal commissions […]."

Finally, Emmanuel Le Pargneux also castigates "the interlocutorism in which elected officials engaged in the appointment of members of the Municipal Commission of Direct Taxes& ;quot;.
