Feria de Béziers 2024: the Oc’xygène bodega serves Pays d’Oc IGP wines to refresh party-goers

The Béziers Feria is welcoming a new addition: Oc’xygène, the first street bodega dedicated to Pays d’Oc IGP wines, located just 50 meters from the arenas. The wine is available in cocktails and cold drinks, for a refreshing and festive break.
After their last bodega in 2010, Pays d’Oc IGP wines are making their return to the Feria de Béziers, located in the heart of their vineyard. A unique experience. This presence marks a turning point for Pays d’Oc IGP wines, partners of the Feria since its first edition, who intend to highlight the quality and diversity of their vintages. "Usually, I go to the Feria to party. We're going to do it this year too, but this time, behind a stand”, jokes Kelvine Gouvernayre, awareness manager of the Pays d'Oc IGP label.
During the four days of festivities, a team of six people will be present to serve visitors, accompanied by two coordinators responsible for ensuring that operations run smoothly. The objective is clear: to offer an unforgettable experience, combining conviviality, discovery and respect for the land.
“Innovation, renewal, youth”
For the occasion, Oc’xygène will serve three exclusive wine-based cocktail recipes, specially created for the Feria. Visitors will be able to enjoy them from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., in a friendly setting where freshness is essential. Indeed, to cope with the summer heat, wine taps have been installed, inspired by beer codes to serve these wine drinks at ideal temperatures, guaranteeing optimal tasting."The key words for these four days are innovation, renewal and youth. We want to allow everyone to enjoy the quality of our wines. Beer and aniseed drinks are commonplace. We want to bring our products up to date", smiles the manager.
A project driven by its communication
The initiative is not limited to tasting. Morgane Degaille, an intern at Pays d’Oc IGP wines, took charge of the event's communication, particularly via social networks. She orchestrated the graphic design and the teasing of the bodega, gradually revealing the behind-the-scenes of this ambitious project. “I'm really happy to know that Morgane will be able to witness the realization of everything she has worked on”, supports Kelvine. T-shirts and bandanas will be distributed during the four days, reinforcing the visual identity of Oc&xygène and its attachment to the Béziers region.
To complete this offer, the bodega has teamed up with Jojo Boulanger 34, a well-known culinary influencer on Instagram and TikTok. Based in Saint-Chinian, it will offer three "sandwich" formulas, specially designed for the event, in harmony, of course, with the local wines.
"We want to show that winegrowers are adapting"
Oc’xygène is not just a pop-up bar, it is also a showcase for winemakers' innovations. The bodega encourages visitors to discover these new creations, such as the "fresh red", nicknamed "glouglou red" by the team, a red wine to be consumed chilled, ideal to accompany tapas and barbecues. "We want to show that winemakers are adapting to consumer demands and to introduce these new inventions", concludes Kelvine Gouvernayre.
Three cocktails with secret recipes
À On the occasion of the Feria, the three cocktails designed by the bodega will keep their simple recipe (3 to 4 ingredients) secret until the end of the event.
