In light of recent analysis results, alert level 1 remains in place around the lake. Swimming is not recommended and the red flag is raised at the first aid stations.
At the Vailhés first aid station and on the beach at Clermont-l'Hérault, the red flags are still raised this Thursday, August 15. And, all around the lake, the signs installed by the Department continue to remind people of the instructions to follow due to the level 1 alert being maintained, as part of the precautionary protocol on cyanobacteria.
48 hours after the first alert, swimming is therefore still not recommended, dogs must stay away from water that should obviously not be ingested.
In Clermont, the municipal order prohibiting swimming remains in force until further notice. This Thursday, the Grand Site Salagou-Mourèze emphasizes that: ” The results of the additional analyses indicate a proven and significant presence of cyanobacteria but do not reveal any toxicity. This alert level 1 is maintained until the concentration of cyanobacteria falls below the threshold.
