Tennis: final stretch for a high-level tournament at TC Sète

Lucie Pawlak, French champion in 17-18 years, is present.

The finals are scheduled for this Friday, August 23 on the courts of Mas Viel, they will put an end to three weeks of high-quality confrontations.

As tradition dictates, while the Saint-Louis festivities are about to begin for the city of Sète, the Mas Viel tournament is entering its final stretch.

Indeed, it has already been two weeks since fans of the little yellow ball met on the seven clay courts of TC Sète or enjoyed the show by filling the stands.

Although it is not yet time to take stock, it is already necessary to highlight the record number of players registered, which reached nearly 380 different participants from all over France.
The local players responded by stringing together matches and “performances” like Guilhem Blanc-Brude, Romain Albert and Nicolas Ramos.

Some great players

This last week will see the entry into the competition of the best registered players and, here again, the quality is there with no less than twelve players ranked “negative” and two French numbered players, including the very recent French champion for 17-18 year-olds, Lucie Pawlak. Also note the presence of Théo Arribagé who participated in doubles at the 2024 Roland-Garros French Open.

Between two jousting tournaments on the Cadre Royal, sports fans would therefore be well inspired to go and admire the knights, not of the tintaine, but of the ochre earth of Mas Viel until the finals scheduled for this Friday, August 23.
