The meeting is scheduled for early September, at the gateway to the Cévennes. Here's what you need to know…

The event is announced on the agenda of the Alès mechanical center. At the start of the school year, electric scooters will let loose on the karting track and the site promises "a spectacular weekend, full of speed, agility and adrenaline". For good reason, on September 6 and 7, the fifth and final round of the French electric scooter championship, the E’Trott Racing FFM, will take place at the gates of the Cévennes. In short, some real racing cars will line up at the start!

First, private tests

The first day, Friday, will be reserved for private tests. “These exclusive sessions, available at an additional cost, will offer a unique opportunity for all drivers, whether novice or experienced, to discover the practice of circuit racing”, according to the mechanical center's website.“Please note that access to these private tests is not included in the registration for the E’Trott Racing FFM championship. You have an electric scooter and want to try racing on a karting circuit ? It's possible !"

Different categories are determined

Three categories of riders are defined. The "monotype" is open from the age of 10. Scooters are validated for the brand cup by the French Motorcycle Federation (FFM). The “lignt” is accessible from 13 years old, for commercial scooters and prototypes weighing less than or equal to 38 kg. Finally, “racing” is aimed at those aged 14 and over, and this concerns commercial scooters and prototypes weighing less than or equal to 65 kg.

The race will take place on Saturday afternoon

The riders in each of these categories entered in the competition, i.e. 38 drivers, according to Alès Agglomération, will meet on the karting track on Saturday 7 September, from 10:15 a.m., “to sign their best time", before the race scheduled for the afternoon, starting at 1:45 p.m. And for these two days of great spectacle that is clearly assured, admission will be free for spectators.
