Zola in custody after refusing to comply: under the influence of drugs, the rapper was driving at over 200 km/h with his headlights off on the motorway

On the night of Wednesday 28 to Thursday 29 August, rapper Zola was taken into custody after refusing to comply.

According to our colleagues, Zola was driving at 200 km/h on the A6 motorway towards Paris. His headlights were off.

Arrested near his home

Asked to stop by the police, the rapper then refused the check and continued on his way towards his home. He was finally arrested near his home and taken into custody.

Zola also tested positive for narcotics, our colleagues specify.

This incident comes a few days after the Mougins tragedy. Under the influence of alcohol, a thirty-year-old man was guilty of refusing to obey and fatally hit police officer Éric Comyn on the A8 motorway.

During his hearing, the latter stated that he hit the police officer "unintentionally" and, "in a panic, he left the scene", as specified by the public prosecutor of Grasse.
