Sporting's trip to Sainte-Sigolène, this Sunday, September 1, 2024, for the second round of the Coupe de France did not go as planned at all.

Facing a team playing two divisions below the yellows, for once wearing their black jerseys, Wilfried Blanc's team was unable to maintain the advantage acquired in the 14th minute. Big disappointment

Far from rebelling to regain the score, the Langon footballers lost the midfield battle, allowing their opponents to build great attacks throughout the second half-time.

While everyone was expecting a penalty shootout, the local footballers scored two minutes from the end of the match on a textbook attack: a cross overflow and an unstoppable shot from the center forward who followed the action well.

The Langonais are falling from a great height. It had been a long time since they had passed at least one round in the Coupe de France.
