Le géant des confiseries Ferrero a annoncé ce mardi 3 septembre 2024 qu’il allait débuter la commercialisation d’une version vegan de sa pâte à tartiner aux noisettes Nutella dans plusieurs pays européens dont la France.
“Today, more and more consumers are choosing to reduce or avoid products of animal origin, whether for dietary or lifestyle reasons”, justifies the Ferrero company in a press release.
The launch will take place on September 4, 2024 in Italy, the country of origin of the group and the brand, in France and Belgium.
And the taste ?
To avoid any animal-derived ingredients, the company "removes milk and adds plant-based ingredients such as chickpeas and rice syrup" in its recipe, according to the press release.
Ferrero assures that it has made "no compromise on taste".
Original version sold in nearly 170 country
The group, which also owns the Kinder, Tic Tac and Ferrero Rocher brands, specifies that "the product is not suitable for people with milk protein allergies, as it is manufactured in a facility that handles milk".
The Nutella spread, created 60 years ago, is sold in its traditional version in nearly 170 countries.
