Près de 690 élèves ont retrouvé le chemin des classes lundi 2 et mardi 3 septembre dans l’établissement Lodévois.

Following on from their 6th and Segpa classmates who discovered the school on Monday, the 5th, 4th and 3rd grade students returned to school this Tuesday, September 3rd, at a Paul Dardé middle school that welcomes nearly 690 students.

Well-being, ecological transition, equality…

"This is a contained workforce, adapted to the size of the school, to the number of divisions for satisfactory teaching and pedagogical conditions. We also know that the workforce will increase as always in the coming weeks. The start of the school year is a collective effort, a justice of the peace for us” notes Principal Jean-Michel Rol, satisfied with this return to school marked by stability in a college that is seeing the arrival of a new CPE, Sarah Diedrich.“We have a dynamic and stable team, experienced and motivated, who take a lot of initiatives in a college where there is a large social mix, where students from Lodève and the surrounding small villages meet.” The start of the 2024 school year was also marked by instructions to strengthen protocols and vigilance in terms of security, to combat all forms of violence, discrimination and harassment.

“The conditions for a successful start to the school year are to be able to put families at ease, to do everything possible to promote the well-being and conditions for success of students.” adds the head of the establishment. As such, awareness of the dangers of screens and social networks has already been made to parents from 6th grade on Monday morning.

On the project side, in addition to the renovation work this summer, there is the greening of the courtyard with the Department, which is still relevant. “We are working on an Equality project with the high school, which has obtained a label, and we will also continue to carry out actions around the ecological transition and sustainable development”. A partnership project with the ONF will be set up for example for the 4th grade, around awareness of climate issues, biodiversity and natural heritage.

Synergies and openness to the outside

“All this in a participatory and civic approach, says Jean-Michel Rol. We are fortunate to be able to rely on involved communities, remarkable institutional and associative actors in Lodévois who allow partnerships and openings to the outside, particularly cultural.” As with the neighboring Vallot high school, the Paul Dardé middle school draws on the environment that surrounds it. “It is extremely rich here, everyone knows each other, talks to each other, helps each other find solutions. There are great synergies and that is extremely valuable to offer the best to our students.” finally emphasizes the Principal.
