MHB: Skube operated on this Thursday, two internationals still in the infirmary… the latest news before the match against Saint-Raphaël

A l’heure de recevoir Saint-Raphaël ce vendredi 6 septembre au FDI Stadium à 20 h, le MHB devra évidemment faire sans Stas Skube, opéré jeudi, mais aussi deux de ses ailiers internationaux.

A first step towards a long recovery. Following his serious right knee injury last week, MHB center half Stas Skube underwent successful surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament this Thursday at the Clinique Saint-Roch, the club announced in a press release.

His recovery time has not been specified but Montpellier's new coach, Erick Mathé, will have to do without the Slovenian for at least six months in all likelihood.

Without Karlsson or Pellas

As for the wingers, MHB will also have to tinker a little more. Yanis Lenne, who injured his ankle with the French team during the Paris 2024 Olympics, is not expected back before the end of September, while Lucas Pellas and Sebastian Karlsson are still unavailable.

The two Swedish wingers are not yet 100% fit after their summer, also at the Paris Games, and are suffering from muscle inflammation, keeping them off the pitch for at least another week. The young Hungarian right winger Roland Terjek (20 years old), and the French left winger Baptiste Dubois (19 years old) will therefore have playing time.
