Les flamands d’Art-Déco-Al. Hypnotique ! AD. B. – AD. B.

In Nîmes, at the exhibition center, from September 6 to 9, more than a hundred exhibitors present.

The Home Show, an unmissable back-to-school event for construction, renovations, and home improvement (interior and exterior). We took a look around on Friday, the first day of the event, to find a first round of ideas.

1 These adhesive coverings that changed Pascale's life

She fell for this product. To the point of becoming an ambassador after a career change. Pascale Leclercq, until now a national education teacher, took advantage of Covid to embark on another professional life dedicated to furniture renovation. “I have always loved DIY. One day I discovered Cover Styl' adhesive coverings. I did a training course and I decided to start." Pascale therefore created her company, Kalou’s, and renovates furniture, doors, kitchen sets with these adhesive coverings. "They are made of very thin PVC. You stick them on, and after a few hours you can hardly remove them."

The result is stunning and does not reveal the slightest roughness. In its stand at the Salon de l'Habitat, for example, we see an old chest of drawers that you would swear was made of stained wood. This is not the case: it is entirely covered in this adhesive coating, applied by Pascale Leclercq. "Look at the images of this kitchen. You see, there is relief. I told myself that if I could do it, I could do almost anything…"

Rather, therefore, than completely destroying a kitchen that we ultimately only wanted to revamp, Pascale suggests various aspects, colors, that she will apply herself, with costs, necessarily, much lower than a completely redone kitchen. To meet her, go to booth number 7 at the Salon de l’Habitat at the exhibition center or call 0615310401.

2 Wood insulation, wood frame: homemade, in Cévennes

Since 2007, the Bois éco construction company has been ploughing its furrow: that of the eco-friendly wooden house, and in short supply chain. “We have four employees, explains the director Pierre Maurin. We have our workshops in Boisset-et-Gaujac near Anduze. We are brought a project, for the construction of a house, an extension or a renovation and we prepare everything in our workshops. The interest is to seek energy performance to move towards the passive house." In addition to wooden partitions, most often in Douglas pine from sustainably managed forests, the company offers interior or exterior insulation in wood fiber with guaranteed performance. ". To protect yourself from the heat, in the summer in our regions, there is nothing like wood insulation. At the show, customers we worked with fifteen years ago come to see us and thank us. Find it at stand number 16 at the show or by phone at 0645918225.

3. Unusual pink flamingos almost more real than nature

He gives some to his father every year, he loves them so much! At booth number Art-deco-Al (number 45), in front of the impressive metal sculptures, a band of flamingos gestures. "Look carefully, comments Jérémy Goupille. There is no one that moves the same way. They work like a weather vane, with the wind, but the head moves independently of the body. It is made of recycled PVC. You can put them in your swimming pool, in your garden. It works very well." These fake pink flamingos cost 130 euros each, 300 euros for three. Fun and quite "hypnotic", especially with a poolside rosé by the water…
