Family picnic turns tragic: Man splashes hot coffee on baby's face, international manhunt for him

On Monday, September 9, 2024, Australian police issued an international arrest warrant for a 33-year-old man who threw scalding coffee in the face of a baby during a picnic in Brisbane Park.

The “most cowardly crime”

“When I got home I had panic attacks and I still have them. “I will always have fear and anxiety about being in public with my son. It has affected my mental health for the rest of my life.” she adds.

Detective Inspector Dalton said that “the QPS (Queensland Police Service) is fully committed to doing everything in his power, legally, to bring this person back here to face justice”.
