La 25e édition du Pro-Am de la ville d’Agde et du casino Barrière, qui regroupait des joueurs pros et des amateurs, s’est déroulée sous un vent soutenu.
The Pro-Am of the city of Agde and the Barrière casino took place last weekend on the greens of the international golf course of Cap d'Agde. The second major event of the season with the Grand Prix, which takes place at the beginning of the year. Despite a strong wind, bringing an additional handicap to the course, the 72 players divided into 18 teams, which included three amateur players and one pro, had a great time.
Three Santas in the winning team!
The awards ceremony took place at Dix-Neuf, the golf restaurant, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where everyone could replay their game and comment on the good shots made, but also the most botched ones! But as a golfer, this happens very rarely.
Golf director Claude Goudard presented the prizes, offering numerous prizes donated by the tournament partners. The team led by David Santa, accompanied by professional Tom Santa, Michèle Santa and Guillaume Azais, was the big winning team of the weekend, with a gross score (the number of strokes played over two days, editor's note) of 284. “We have an exceptionally high-quality course here”, appreciated David Santa, whose team finished just ahead of the team composed of Thomas Marty, Adrien Goudard, Bruno Palleau and Sylvian Viale. In “net”, Franck Renard (professional), Christiane and Patrick Combes, as well as Stéphane Gandy won with a score of 259.
The City and the Casino, Loyal Partners
Representing the Barrière group, Géraldine Andrzejczak recalled that the Cap Casino had been a partner of the competition “since 2014, but we are also present in padel and tennis. It is part of the group's DNA. It is important for us to invest in the local economy."
