A new cultural venue in the Ecusson in Nîmes, the Boudon hotel welcomes actress Marie-Christine Barrault.

Referring to Moby Dick, Jean Giono wrote: “All I had to do was sit down, my back against the trunk of a pine tree, take out of my pocket this book that was already lapping to feel the multiple life of the seas swelling beneath me and around me”.

As part of the cultural meetings at the Hôtel Boudon, actress Marie-Christine Barrault comes to read Pour Saluter Melville, a tribute from one writer to another. "I chose this text because it is, in my eyes, a sublime novel about love and creation, as well as a magnificent portrait of a creator", explains Marie-Christine Barrault.

Monday, September 23, 7 p.m. Hôtel Boudon, 4 rue de Bernis, Nîmes. 25 €. 06 19 60 31 83.
