The big protest and festive gathering scheduled for this Sunday between the Esplanade and the Domaine d'O has been cancelled by its organisers due to bad weather forecasts. The event has been postponed to Sunday 13 October.

It was supposed to be the big cycling party, this Sunday between the Esplanade and the Domaine d'O. This Saturday afternoon, however, the organizers decided to postpone the event that should have brought together several thousand bicycle users in the city and the metropolis.

Thirty processions scheduled beyond the metropolis

The reason for this cancellation is simple: the bad weather conditions forecast (rain in particular) for this Sunday. “The safety conditions are not met for such an event” specifies Nicolas Le Moigne, the head of Vélocité, who has been behind this event since 2018. This year, around thirty processions were scheduled from Sète, Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers and Mauguio.

The demonstration, which includes a protest component and a festive component, is therefore postponed to next Sunday, October 13.
