L’accident a eu lieu ce dimanche 22 septembre 2024, aux alentours de 11 h 30, à Grandrieu

A man had a serious fall this Sunday, September 22, around 11:30 a.m., in Grandrieu, a small town in Margeride, in Lozère. The thirty-year-old fell from a ladder, while he was seven meters high.

Seriously injured

Seriously injured, the helicopter of the Emergency Medical Assistance Service (Samu) of the Loire department intervened, in order to transport him to the emergency room of the university hospital of Saint-Étienne.

The Dragon 34, the civil security aircraft of Hérault, was first engaged but did not manage to cross the Cévennes due to bad weather conditions.

As a reminder, Lozère does not have its Dragon 48 only in July and August. The rest of the year, in the event of a serious accident, it must rely on helicopters from neighboring departments.
