Erilia, a major player in social housing in France, inaugurated its new premises in the Kennedy district of Nîmes on Thursday, September 26.

This Thursday, September 26, Erilia, a major player in social housing in France and a subsidiary of Groupe Habitat en Région, inaugurated its new premises in the Kennedy district, a few steps from the city center of Nîmes. Historically located in the priority district of Valdegour, the Nîmes branch of the social landlord has chosen to move closer to the center to better meet the needs of its tenants and partners while maintaining a local office in Valdegour.

A strengthened commitment to social housing

The inauguration brought together Frédéric Lavergne, Managing Director of Erilia, and Aymeric Deleu-Nabet, Regional Director for Occitanie, who officially opened these new premises in the presence of several local elected officials, including Julien Plantier, First Deputy Mayor of Nîmes, and Franck Proust, President of Nîmes Métropole. Everyone welcomed this move as a strong sign of the strengthening of Erilia's presence in the Nîmes region.

The choice to leave Valdegour for Kennedy is part of a process of modernization and proximity. “This new site was designed to offer a better working environment to our employees while optimizing the quality of service to our tenants,” stressed Aymeric Deleu-Nabet. The branch currently manages more than 1,230 housing units in the region and provides daily support to nearly 300 families of tenants as part of the rehousing program linked to the New National Urban Renewal Program (NPNRU) of Nîmes Valdegour.

“Facilitating access to services in Nîmes”

The social housing situation in Nîmes and the Gard remains tense, with more than 22,600 applications pending. Erilia, as a key partner of the city of Nîmes, Nîmes Métropole and ANRU, is actively engaged in developing appropriate solutions to meet this growing demand. In addition to construction projects, such as the future Arthur Rimbaud residence (30 social housing units planned for 2025), the lessor is carrying out major renovations, particularly in the Le Petit Archimède and Le Clos des Arènes residences.

The elected officials present at the inauguration highlighted the importance of this partnership to support the urban renewal of Nîmes. “We are particularly committed to ensuring that Erilia's intervention in our territory continues to develop”, declared Julien Plantier, recalling that the city of Nîmes and its partners are working to create new social housing to meet the needs of residents. For his part, Franck Proust, President of Nîmes Métropole, welcomed "Erilia's choice to remain located on a central artery in Nîmes, thus facilitating access to its services".
