Alès: Mandarine, the little BMW ready to embark for the Isle of Beauty

It is on October 5th that the crew of the BMW 1602 (plate No. 439) of Jacques Cottet-Spinoza and Marie Alonso will set off, until October 12th, on the roads of Corsica, on the occasion of the 24th edition of the Tour historique.

The dream is about to become reality! But it is not without apprehension that this duo entered in the category of historic sports regularity vehicles (VHRS) will navigate, with the greatest possible precision, on this course of more than 1,000 km, made up of 18 special stages on closed roads.
That is a total of nearly 380 km timed including 620 km of liaisons. While the car has just come out of the workshops of friend Francis Laurent, the crew has been able to take advantage of a first experience during the Rallye du Gard. Ranked 8th overall, then 14th out of 26 in the end due to an early start, the crew believes they have accumulated the necessary experience to transform this human and mechanical adventure into a memorable memory.
