In 2017, two American scientists immersed themselves in different studies focused on these relatively "exceptional" phenomena, which they call "peri-orgasmic". In other words, they occur just after or even at the precise moment of orgasm… In their work with the evocative title "Have you enjoyed yourself or are you just making fun of me ?", they list six uncommon manifestations:

– Cataplexy, that is to say a sudden feeling of weakness;

– A crying fit;

– A laughing fit;

– A feeling of sadness and anxiety;

– Headaches;

– A sneezing fit!

Only a few minutes

Rest assured, however, because as unexpected as they are unexplained, these potential side effects linked to orgasm do not last over time. They generally manifest themselves for a handful of seconds or minutes. Just enough time to regain one's senses and return to the real world…
