Appointed head of the territorial security division, Julien Bouyouch has been the new chief of the municipal police of Pont-Saint-Esprit, the town where he grew up, since October 1, 2024. This young 41-year-old head of a family, married with two children and a rugby fan, learned the ropes in the army and the gendarmerie before joining the Pont-Saint-Esprit police force.
In Pont-Saint-Esprit, the time has come to restructure the municipal police force. This has been commanded since October 1, 2024 by Julien Bouyouch, appointed head of the Territorial Security Division. “I thank Mayor Valère Segal for the trust he has placed in me” he reacts. Night Brigade
The new police chief is seconded by the now ex-number one of the PM, Franck Sartre who wanted to take the head of the night brigade. This newly created unit will have six agents. “It will be operational in a few weeks” announces the mayor's chief of staff.”Julien Bouyouch”will also have to rely on another figure from the Spiripontaine municipal police in the person of Denis Servoz. To date, the PM has 13 police officers. There will be two more on January 1, 2025. “The people of Spiripontain expect community policing, the town hall is implementing it, declares Mayor Valère Segal. Patrols will help secure the public highway and disrupt as much as possible the traffic that is ruining the lives of some residents".
Roadmap
First Deputy Mayor Delegate for Security and former Commander of the Pont-Saint-Esprit Gendarmerie Brigade Claude Conan unfolds the roadmap entrusted to the head of the Territorial Security Unit. “He will implement the Mayor's campaign commitments in terms of security.” This promise will result in securing the entrance to Georges Ville and Notre Dame colleges during school hours from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Primary schools will also be accompanied from 8:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. by municipal police officers who will rotate between schools throughout the week. The video protection center mobilizes four operators. Currently the municipality has 53 cameras. The prefecture's security officer will come to Pont-Saint-Esprit on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
