The 5th edition of the Lunel Job Fair did the job!

Yes, there is work in the Lunel Agglo area. And if further proof were needed, the number of recruiters who attended the 5th edition of the Job Fair on Tuesday, October 15, is indeed one.

Sixty-three in total – including thirteen new recruits and nearly ten more than last year – thus exchanged, advised, and pre-hired throughout the morning and part of the afternoon.

652 visitors over the day

Add to these numbers the 652 people who showed up at the Espace Castel entirely dedicated to the event (there were 518 last year) and the numbers are more than good for this new vintage of the Job Fair.

The formula set up by the partnership between the City of Lunel (via the youth service and the Youth Info Point), France Travail, the Petite Camargue héraultaise local youth mission and Lunel Agglo, is popular. Seduced even.

"Favorable to the interview and recruitment"

"We are in a different context, benevolent, favorable to the interview and recruitment, explained Karima Zebiche, team leader at the France Travail agency in Lunel, at the end of the event. Everything is done live and locally. This is a significant advantage. We are really in the “Going towards” and responding to the needs of everyone. Visitors, but also local businesses. When you see the number of people who come, it's promising on all levels."

CV, cover letter, interview workshops

The three age groups 16-25, 26-45 and over 46 were indeed very well represented and almost equally. "Most socio-professional categories participate. It's really a show that is aimed at all audiences", continued Anne Fernandez, employment officer at the Petite Camargue héraultaise local mission.

To attract business managers, the organizers of the Job Fair had also organized CV and cover letter writing workshops, as well as interview preparation for candidates who wanted to take part. The same ones who could wander around the hall of the Espace Castel with the nineteen partners in support for employment and integration.

A winning combo

Existing job market, bilateral dynamics, building trust – not to mention the free event – was therefore the winning combo of this new vintage which announces many others. Created during the Covid-19 pandemic and in the perspective of an economic crisis – since proven – the Lunel territory job fair is therefore not about to point to unemployment…
