A child of two years died Tuesday in Toronto after a fall of 14 floors, reports Global News.
Emergency crews were called on site shortly before 17h25. This is a passer-by who found the child on the ground, near a building of the avenue Driftwood, in the north of the city.
“The child would have fallen from the balcony or the window, which is probably on the 14th floor,” said Darren Alldrit, the inspector of the Toronto police service responsible for the investigation.
The toddler was rushed to the emergency in a trauma center, but unfortunately died later.
The circumstances surrounding this tragedy are unknown for the moment. The police investigation and must meet with witnesses.
