A 35-year-old man was assaulted on Saturday night around 10:40 p.m. at the Mont-Royal metro station, in the Plateau Mont-Royal borough, in Montreal.
The victim suffered superficial injuries after being stabbed in the upper body during an altercation, said the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Julien Lévesque.
“The man was conscious during his transport to a hospital and there is no danger to his life,” he said.
The metro station was closed and a canine unit is present on site to help SPVM investigators understand the circumstances of the event.
No suspect has yet been arrested in this case, added the spokesperson for the SPVM.
