An electric bus of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has been seen making a small path in the water under the sun.
Is that the STM is testing and trials of electric bus manufacturer New Flyer, said the transport company on Facebook, Friday.
As the buses that circulate in the metropolis are subjected to weathering tests have been carried out to ensure that the components located under the vehicle remain sealed, even when they roll in large amounts of water.
The bus was so waded on ten meters in a small stretch of deep water of 30 cm, on a closed circuit located in Blainville, in the Laurentians. There were obviously no passengers on board.
“The good news: no error code or impromptu stop of the vehicle have not been saved”, one can read in the publication Facebook of the STM.
Let us recall that in the coming months, a thirty buses fully electric high autonomy New Flyer will be gradually deployed within the network bus of the STM.
