Yvan, aged 20, is "a retired camel who no longer works on the track. He managed to break the fence and escape. We intervened as soon as we were warned", explains Vincent Justin, Ringmaster of the circus.

The camelid peacefully traveled a good kilometer on Boulevard de Thouars, a busy road, causing the astonishment of passing motorists. He was finally intercepted by the municipal police in the vicinity of Allée de la Source and then escorted to the circus so that he could return to his enclosure. Police came as reinforcements to prevent a possible accident. The animal was "very docile", according to law enforcement.

This unusual event helped promote the presence of the circus in town. Two hours of great spectacle are expected on April 13 and 21, 2024.
