A first case of COVID-19 was confirmed Thursday in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
According to the Chaudière-Appalaches Public Health Department, the person was infected following a cruise trip in the Caribbean. She contacted 811 and was directed to an emergency where she was taken care of with the required isolation measures and according to the protocols in force to ensure the safety of the nursing staff.
“His general condition is good and does not require hospitalization. She was placed in solitary confinement at home for a period of 14 days ”, specifies the CISSS of Chaudière-Appalaches in a press release issued Thursday afternoon.
According to the establishment, since returning from the trip, the person had only been in contact with a limited number of individuals. “These have been identified and are currently being contacted by our Public Health Department,” said one.
