Un cas de COVID-19 dans un camp de jour de Sherbrooke

A staff member of the day camp Sherbrooke Loisirs-Action to school Full-Sun has contracted the COVID-19, forcing the isolation of thirty children and facilitators.

In all, 26 children attending the day camp, as well as seven facilitators, have been placed in isolation for a period of 14 days from the last day where they have been in contact with the infected person.

“These people have already received a call from the public health and will undergo testing over the next few days,” said the City of Sherbrooke by press release.

Despite all that, the day camp will re-open its doors as usual on Monday. “We have agreed on the enhancement of certain measures with the direction of the camp and a public health professional will follow closely with the community throughout the week. The situation will be reassessed according to the evolution of the situation”, said the director of public health of the Estrie region, Dr. Alain Poirier, quoted in the press release from the City.
