A conference on the prevention of diving accidents organized at the Daniel-Cordier house in Béziers

Le club de plongée Béziers immersion a organisé une conférence sur la prévention des accidents de plongée le jeudi 21 mars 2024.

Thursday March 21, 2024, at the Daniel-Cordier house (formerly MVA), the Béziers immersion diving club organized a conference on the prevention of diving accidents. It was led by Dominique Lacourt, regional instructor within the FFESSM (French Federation of Underwater Studies and Sports) and also director of a company specializing in prevention and safety at work .

The event attracted 47 divers from clubs in western Hérault, passionate about the underwater world and interested in scuba diving safety.

The conference discussed different aspects of accident prevention Diving: organizational, human and environmental. The speaker shared his expertise and experiences to raise awareness among divers of the importance of being vigilant to all incidents, even minor ones, but also to share them through feedback. ;experience (REX).

The participants also had the opportunity to ask numerous questions and discuss with the host of this conference.
