Un couple suisse en vacances en Italie a été facturé 616 euros au lieu de 61 euros dans une station-service. Ils ont décidé de faire une réclamation.
Their trip started well but ended with a hefty bill. A Swiss couple on holiday in Tuscany went to a petrol station to fill up before their return home, spotted La Dépêche on Blick.
“There were a lot of people there. The employee was very stressed and kept pressuring us,”, the man shared at Blick.
“Devastated”
When it came time to pay, the attendant put a much too high amount into the machine. The couple did not check the device or the receipt.
A day later, the couple noticed the amount charged on the receipt: 616 euros, an amount 10 times higher than expected. “She almost collapsed and could hardly believe it, the boyfriend told the Swiss media. In hindsight, I think it was a scam.”
Complaint
The couple quickly contacted the bank but found themselves in a dead end: a confirmed transaction was an authorization to debit the amount entered, they received in response.
The couple planned to file a complaint, with supporting documentation, in the hope that the gas station's mistake could be proven.
