A fight breaks out, he deliberately crashes his car into his friends' attackers, near a nightclub in Lattes

A slight material accident degenerated into a violent brawl involving several people, during the night of Saturday to Sunday March 10, near the L'Entrepôt nightclub, in Lattes. Panicked, the driver of a car hit the individuals who were hitting his friends. 

A man drove his car into several people, during the night of Saturday to Sunday March 10, around midnight, near the L'Entrepôt nightclub, on the border of Lattes and Montpellier, near the Tournezy district. According to information collected by the police, the driver, aged 31, was panicked while two of his friends were violently attacked by several people, rue de Montels-Eglise.&nbsp ;

Several people hit

He had come to the nightclub a little earlier with his partner and a couple of friends. While trying to park, he hits a parked car. The owner of the car arrives and the two men move aside to fill out an amicable report. But for a reason that remains to be determined, the situation degenerates into a brawl.    

The 31-year-old driver's passenger received a first punch from an occupant of the other vehicle. "He was then pursued by several individuals", specifies the deputy public prosecutor, Moune Mercan. Distraught, the driver then gets back into his car. "He was reversing and hit a first person. Several hostile men carried out multiple blows to his friend as well as to his companion", continues the deputy public prosecutor. The man will then "voluntarily hit several people in order, according to him, to extract his friends."

His vehicle receives several projectiles

The scene of violence does not end there. "The driver left with his vehicle, received several projectiles and hit another individual who was between both lanes of traffic. Several victims are to be deplored", further indicates Ms. Mercan. Among them, a 21-year-old young man who benefits from 21 days of ITT. The circumstances of his injuries, however, remain to be determined.

The driver who hit the various people was taken into police custody and referred this Monday, March 11. "A judicial investigation was opened this Monday on the head of attempted homicide", concludes the deputy public prosecutor. The police investigation continues with the use of video surveillance images and the collection of testimonies.     &amp ;nbsp;
