Les Jeunes Insoumis du Biterrois recueillent les dons encore ce samedi dans le supermarché U de Maraussan… Le seul qui a accepté de jouer le jeu.
Yesterday, for the first day of collection, at the end of the morning, the Jeunes Insoumis cart was almost full: "Pasta, boxes, hygiene products, cakes", explains Romain, a volunteer. Jason, the coordinator, is surprised by people's generosity: "They understand when we explain that many students receive no help, that' rsquo;they have to work on the side and abandon their studies."
The collection is intended for students of the Nursing Training Institute of Béziers, who like many young people, suffer from precariousness and suffer from inflation: « We have a few shelves at school where those who can afford put food for those who are struggling, explains Samira, in first year. It's in a room where everyone passes, to get dressed, so we can help ourselves discreetly. »
The situation affects Béatrice, who is shopping that day: "I am a nurse myself, I know what it is, she sighs, donating almost half of her purchases. The old must help the young!"
Around thirty supermarkets requested
A state of mind that also drives Thierry Claudel, the manager of Supermarché U. Les Jeunes Insoumis sent requests to around thirty businesses, and he was the only one to respond positively.
"As we are politicized, people are wary, Jason observes. It’is more difficult for us than for the restaurants of the heart. "For me it doesn't change anything, replies Thierry Claudel. I regularly agree to receive collections, and for this one as for the others the store will participate, and I will participate personally as well. Whenever we can help, we will."
The collection continues this Saturday in the Super U of Maraussan from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
