A former NFL player passes away

Former Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions linebacker Jessie Lemonier died Thursday at the age of 25.

“Jessie was a model teammate and a wonderful young man who left far too soon. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time,” said the Michigan team.
The Florida native signed a free agent contract with the Chargers in 2020 before joining the Lions in the 2021 season.
In two seasons on the Goodell circuit, the former Liberty University Flames racked up 15 tackles in addition to obtaining 1 .5 quarterback sacks.
The Arlington Renegades organization, in the XFL, selected Lemonier last November during the circuit's draft session. However, he had decided to align himself with the Houston Gamblers in the USFL.
