The French handball player and recent European champion, Benoit Kounkoud was arrested on the night of Monday January 29 to Tuesday January 30, 2024. he is suspected of attempted rape of a young woman.

He must be questioned by the investigators

According to the first elements of the investigation, around 4:30 a.m., the player allegedly pulled down his pants and attempted to rape a young woman in a nightclub' ;nbsp;from the Champs-Élysées district. It was a security guard from the establishment who kept him there, until the arrival of the night BAC who took him then arrested.

Drunk, the 26-year-old player was placed in a sobering-up cell then in police custody. He must be questioned by judicial police investigators.
