A great first for the female hopes of Béziers football

The female section of the Jean-Moulin high school, affiliated with the ASB, qualified for the very first time in history for the final of the French UNSS championships, which held from February 5 to 9 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
A first which should undoubtedly attract others. Qualified for the very first time in history for the final of the French UNSS championships (from February 5 to 9 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye), alongside the fifteen other best teams in the country, the women's section of the high school Jean-Moulin, affiliated with the ASB, clearly did not deserve it. Far from it.
Fourth in their group
Despite a fourth and last place in their group after defeats against the establishments of Liévin (1-2), Dijon (0-1) and Saint-Brieuc (0-5), the young Biterroises, qualified for this big meeting after emerging victorious from the qualifying phase against Rodez and Nice, then won their classification match against the Pierre-de-Coubertin high school in Meaux. A success which allowed them to face, like a wink of destiny, the students of the Jean-Moulin high school in Blanc-Mesnil, in a match which they largely won (4-1 ). Enough to bring a lot of satisfaction to their trainer Lilian Verbecke.
"The season is not over"
"It’s been a very interesting week. We were able to face big teams in French women's football, it was an unforgettable experience and rich in learning. But above all it is a great reward for all the work accomplished in recent years, relishes the Béziers educator, whose ambitions will not be lacking for the coming weeks. The season is not over, the objectives are still high with a quarter-final in the Occitanie Cup and the possibility for the girls to move up to the U19 Nationals with the L’ ASB." Great prospects, which could crown a season that is already successful and full of promise. It’s up to them.
