A highlight for high school students around the theater

Students involved
At the Joseph-Vallot high school in Lodève, on Thursday, September 26, two theater sessions were offered to students on current topics: transphobia, harassment, homophobia, difference, the gaze of others and how we build ourselves with this gaze.
Thierry de Pina, from the Ah le zèbre company, had come from Nice to perform alone on stage based on the text by Emmanuel Darley, a contemporary author. A poignant, disturbing text that greatly challenged the students. The room was dark. On the soberly decorated stage, the actor wore a man's clothing, a woman's dress, costumes designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier. Thierry addressed a transparent chair. We understand that it was the concept of the Father. A strong text, excellent acting, an assumed character. “I have a lot of admiration for Marie-Pierre, said Thierry. She manages to impose who she is. I really like playing the role of beings on the move. I am engaged in the soul.” A rich debate, interesting questions from the students extended this very emotional monologue.
